Aluminium Foil

Aluminium Cold Rolling

Alu Treater is used in the aluminium industry, more specifically in the process of cold rolling. It is added to the rolling oil circulation system to control conductivity  and prevent the build-up of unwanted residues. By keeping fine particles dispersed and the oil phase clean, it helps maintain stable rolling conditions, extend filter life, and improve overall process efficiency.

Short descripton of the process

Cold rolling is the process of reducing the thickness of aluminium strip or coil at room temperature, after hot rolling. The hot rolled coil is cleaned, lubricated with rolling oil, and passed through high-pressure rolling mills where it is gradually thinned.

Intermediate annealing may be applied to restore ductility, and final rolling defines the exact thickness and surface quality. After rolling, heat treatment (final annealing) adjusts mechanical properties.

The process makes it possible to produce thin, strong, and high-quality aluminium sheet and foil used in packaging, automotive, construction, and many other applications. It is widely used in food packaging, pharmaceuticals, and insulation materials. This industry plays a vital role in preserving product freshness and safety while enabling efficient storage and transport. Continuous innovation aims to reduce energy use in production and improve recyclability, making aluminium foil both a functional and increasingly sustainable choice.
